Many of us live and/or work on the west side of the metro area but may not have a convenient professional community nearby. Thanks to PDXWIT and Columbia’s support, we can get together to talk tech and other work topics.
Regardless of company or industry, often our work centers around designing products, communication, functionality, etc. for end users. What strategies do you follow to be successful? What challenges have you faced and how did you overcome them? Let’s chat about this and other topics, share ideas, and network on the West Side.
We will have guest speaker Jess, from Orangetheory Fitness [https://www.orangetheoryfitness.com] telling us about Communication and Time Management and Tibbs from Intel [https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/homepage.html] will tell us about using Kanban Boards for Fun and Profit.

Purpose:
PDXWIT is a community-based non-profit organization. Our purpose is to strengthen the Portland women in tech community by offering educational programs, partnerships, mentorships, resources and opportunities. We are unifying a supportive environment for current and potential women in tech, all of whom are committed to helping each other. Our goal is to bring together and empower women in tech and to encourage others to pursue tech careers. This is our step towards reducing the gender imbalance in the industry and addressing the current negative effects of that imbalance on women.
Our events are inclusive. ALL people who support our purpose are welcome.
