During the panel moderated by Oregon Humanities’ director Adam Davis, we’ll explore why it’s critical for businesses to engage in our region’s transportation challenges and how BBPDX members can make a difference.</p> <p>Over the past year, we’ve traveled with delegations of Portlanders to Los Angeles and Denver to learn about how diverse stakeholder groups collaborated to secure voter support for multi-billion dollar investments in regional transit and congestion relief. We learned about inspiring partnerships like the one from the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce that invited in regional environmentalists to work in the Chamber office on a shared vision.</p> <p>Additionally, at both the state and local levels, agencies are considering various approaches to address our clogged roadways including congestion pricing. Our member Luke Kanies wrote about this approach last year in the Portland Tribune.</p> <p>Big challenges call for bold visions and solutions oriented collaborations.
