Portland Perl Mongers - Funk: A Library for Functional Programming
Access Notes
We're on the 11th floor, come on up. Non-members park bikes outside the building. Paid car parking is connected to the building, and a SmartPark is two blocks away near Target. Located on SW 10th and Washington, between Target and Powell's, on the big block of food carts. We're on the Streetcar line, a block from the Red and Blue MAX lines, and a 5-minute walk from the Green, Yellow, Orange lines.
[This was our temporary location at 1410 SW Morrison, from March to September 2017; we moved to the current location of 511 SW 10th Ave.] The elevator is out of service from the 4th to the 8th floor, so: stairs! Please contact the mailing list or Eric / pdx-pm-list-owner at mail.pm dot org if that's a barrier for you, sorry.
The building front doors will be locked. You'll find a phone number on the door to contact to be let in. (You can alternately try knocking.) You'll be directed to take the elevator to the 4th floor and ascend the stairs to the 8th floor. From there you'll find Suite 850 on your right. It's labeled Forge Portland. Straight ahead you'll see a sandwich board that says Collective Agency. The Athens Conference Room is just to the left of that.

Description
Lyle Kopnicky will present a work in progress:
Funk, a library for functional programming. This currently includes a datatype for linked lists, option types, and generic functions for displaying and equality testing that work on both the new types and Perl data structures. Type constraints can also be imposed on the lists. He is soliciting feedback as to the architecture and functionality of the library.
We may find a pub or suitable source of refreshments after.
