We will hear more about this from our lightning speakers and use this concept as our networking conversational prompt.</p> <p>While the event is primarily intended for networking, we will have a short segment at 5:30 to share important announcements and showcase women in our community who are doing great things.</p> <pre><code>Introduction to Digital Trends, including what they do and what jobs they are hiring for. Meet entrepreneur Paige Hendrix Buckner, who went from teaching and directing public policy to founding a company that ensures businesses can easily gift locally-sourced items to their clients, at her company ClientJoy. A talk by Maarika Krumhansl, a mother of a young daughter and a Release Manager at Jama Software, about how she is a mama in tech. </code></pre> <p>Remember, throughout the event we will have an activity table for people who want to create during the event. This is a fantastic way to meet others if large groups are not your thing.</p> <p>PDXWIT is a community-based non-profit organization. Our purpose is to strengthen the Portland women in tech community by offering educational programs, partnerships, mentorships, resources and opportunities. We are unifying a supportive environment for current and potential women in tech, all of whom are committed to helping each other. Our goal is to bring together and empower women in tech and to encourage others to pursue tech careers.
