Change happens through story. Portland’s BIGGEST LOCAL TECH GIANTS Puppet Inc. and Elemental are sponsoring this livestreamed event! They understand that the Portland Tech Diversity Pledge is more than a piece of paper! We also have the support of the Portland Development Commission, Client Joy, Travel Portland, and Wieden+Kennedy.

BONUS!! With the support from our sponsors we’re partnering with Wieden+Kennedy to produce the first SUPER: WOMEN IN STEM coloring book. This book will be filled with illustrations and short stories about 15 local and national women in STEM fields (throughout history!) and will be available at the event and at local bookstores after.

PLUS! A percentage of our proceeds will go to Black Girls CODE. Black Girls CODE is devoted to showing the world that black girls, when given the opportunity, excel at code. Their ultimate goal is to provide African-American youth with the skills to occupy some of the 1.4 million computing job openings expected to be available in the U.S. by 2020, and to train 1 million girls by 2040. We are thrilled to be putting this capital toward a cause we believe in!
