If you're just starting off on your journey into technology, it can be a challenge to know how to demonstrate competency to get in the door to your first job. Then, it's an even greater challenge to continue practicing, learning, and creating in the evolving technology landscape.
This workshop is all about setting up your blueprint for a career of lifelong-learning and collaboration. That means honing your core competency and branching out with complimentary skills that provide range, perspective, and flexibility.
WHO SHOULD TAKE IT:
This workshop is designed for people who are actively thinking about advancing their path in the tech industry.
PARTICIPANTS WILL GAIN:
This workshop is not about just "looking good to get a job" but what "is" good on the job. Get insight into the practices of some of the most creative and highly innovative teams in how they build flexibility and specialization into their production environment.
Participants will walk out with a literal roadmap to achieve "T" skills for their ideal career path, along with practical recommendations on the strengths and limitations of online learning, traditional academic credentials, code schools, mentorship, open source contribution, and everything in between.
