World IP Day
Website
Description
Culture. Thanks to the digital landscape its impact is further reaching than ever. That’s why it’s very important for there to be a flexible (and easily understood) intellectual property system in place to help foster the projects of creative industries and individuals.
Join the Technology & IP community in celebrating World IP Day! This years theme is Digital Creativity: Culture reimagined. We’ll be hosting an evening full of lightning talks and interactive demonstrations from a group of creative individuals making digital waves in the Portland community and beyond. We will be highlighting a variety of creative fields including film, video games, mobile, sportswear, product design and more!
Our presenters will answer such questions as:
*What’s the impact of the digital environment on creators?
*What are some of the biggest challenges/successes they’ve experienced regarding copyright and trademark law?
*How do IP Laws affect the creative process?
