Description
"Designing a Laser Range Finder" presented by Joe Grand
The Parallax Laser Range Finder (LRF) module is a low cost, open source hardware device that uses laser light to measure the distance to a targeted object up to 8 feet away (http://www.grandideastud io.com/portfolio/laser-range-finder). It incorporates a Propeller multicore microcontroller, OmniVision OVM7690 640x480 CMOS CameraCube, and Arima 635nm APC Laser Diode.
In this presentation, Joe Grand will provide a behind-the-scenes look at his experiences designing the module and discuss its operational details. He'll also have some demos of the LRF module in action.
