High birth rates are associated with developing countries where access to family planning services are limited. Inadequate contraceptive options and accessibility are also issues in the U.S. where ~50% of all pregnancies are unintended. At this Science on Tap, Jon Hennebold, PhD, Associate Scientist in the Division of Reproductive & Developmental Sciences at OHSU, will talk about research toward developing effective and safe contraceptive methods for couples seeking family planning options.
