Ladies - learn web programming!
Website
Description
Hey ladies! Epicodus is offering an almost-free one-day workshop on Saturday, September 7, from 10am - 1pm for women who want to learn web programming.
This event is open to women, girls, and queer/trans folks who feel like this is the right space for you. At minimum, you should be comfortable using computers, but no coding experience is necessary. At most, you may have done some HTML and/or CSS, but aren't a professional developer.
We'll cover the basics of how the web works, what part languages and frameworks and other buzzwords play, and then we'll dive into writing some code! By the end, you'll have a good sense of how to continue learning web programming.
I'm asking you pay an $8 registration fee, mainly to make sure that you don't register and not come, but also to cover me buying you breakfast and coffee! If you can't afford to pay, just drop me a line letting me know your situation and promising me that you won't bail. Space is limited to 24 participants. You don't need to bring a computer, but you do need to bring headphones (you'll go through some video tutorials).
