Course Description
This course is designed to teach a Microsoft Project Server Administrator the basic functionality of Project Server Admin. It assumes the student has a freshly installed environment needing configured, or has assumed an already installed environment needing modification
Learning Objectives
The learning objectives of this course are designed to help Project Managers and Administrators fully understand the Project Server 2010 environment and be capable of:
•Project Lifecycle Steps, Templates and Key Activities
•Create, Publish and Manage Project schedules with Project and Project Server
•Configure Project Server environment from the installation stage forward to the production environment, including but not limited to: Manage users, groups and security categories Manipulate and manage security templates Manage delegates Manage the Project Web Application permissions Create, manage and delete enterprise custom fields and associated lookup tables Create, manage and delete enterprise calendars
•Force Check-in objects Setup and Manage Active Directory synchronization
•Manage Daily and Administrative backups
•Create, manage and delete custom views, groups and Gantt chart formats
•Understand and create Fiscal Periods and Time Reporting Periods
•Make Timesheet Adjustments
•Create, manage and delete enterprise administrative time formats
•Manipulate task settings and displays
•Manage the Project Server queue
•Setup Alerts and Reminders
•Learn Custom tips and tricks for Project Server
•Create, manage and delete enterprise project types, their associated project details pages and workflow concepts
