Description

We are breathing life back into PDXTech4Good with our first official event of the year on evaluating online nonprofit payment processors for donations and purchases.

Lila Pigott of Idealist Consulting will walk through what a payment processor is, what to consider when choosing a processor and the differences between standalone and integrated payment processors.

Nonprofit staffers, techies, activists and community organizers are all invited to this event.

Stop by for discussion, networking with the nonprofit tech crowd and refreshments! (Event is free.)

About our speaker

Lila Pigott joined the ranks of nonprofit technology consultants in 2012. After more than 15 years in nonprofit and mission-based organizations, she realized her true passion was helping the enthusiastic and unsupported or intimidated and reluctant overcome the organizational inertia often associated with adopting new technology.

In her current role as a Solutions Analyst with Idealist Consulting, Lila works directly with nonprofit organizations and provides analysis, advice, and support to improve business processes and implement constituent relationship database solutions.

Parking

Parking in this area is free. It is limited to two hours, but only until 7:00 PM. We expect there will be ample parking by 6:00.

What you'll get out of PDXTech4Good events:

  • Nonprofit staffers will find a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for those not experienced with technology, and many chances to ask questions of tech-experienced nonprofits and experts.
  • Techies will find opportunities to hear the real-world stories of nonprofit clients, and put their own expertise to social good โ€” as well as the potential for lasting relationships (be they paid or volunteer) with leading organizations in our community.
  • Activists and community organizers will see and be given the chance to present on successful uses of technology for social change. We'll explore how technology can help support activism and where activism can push it forward.
