A note about our audience:

These workshops will be a series of events meant to increase gender diversity across the spectrum of the Portland software development community. Each workshop will familiarize participants with a programming language and its ecosystem through tutorials, practice exercises, and one-on-one help from volunteer guides. Attendees will learn the basic skills and vocabulary needed to start participating in the relevant user groups and open source projects.

In keeping with our goal of increasing gender diversity, we open these workshops to all self-identified women and genderqueer persons. Men are welcome to attend when invited by an attending member of these qualifying groups.
