Description

How can you better predict if a business will survive or fail? How could that knowledge change your life immediately?

Thomas Thurston attempted to answer these questions in 2006, while working as a manager in Intel Capital’s internal corporate venturing group. Borrowing from research on “disruptive innovation” by Harvard Business School Professor Clayton Christensen, Thomas developed methodologies that have since proven to be more than 80% accurate in predicting whether individual ventures will survive or fail. Three years and a Harvard fellowship with Christensen later, Thomas is quickly rising as a global thought leader in venture capital and investment methodologies using disruption frameworks. As President of Growth Science International, LLC he guides Angel, venture capital, Fortune 500 and institutional investors using disruptive methodologies. The author of published and peer reviewed works including multiple Harvard Business School Case Studies, Thomas holds a JD from Santa Clara University, an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BA from the University of Oregon. He is an inactive Member of the Oregon Bar.

After the program in Suite 300, we'll meet for networking, beverages and munchies in the OTBC space (suite 101).
