DESCRIPTION:Part hackathon\, part geek social\, these biweekly meetings a
re a time for you to come join others for insight\, inspiration or just
insanity.  Bring your toys for others to see\, or come see what others h
ave been painstakingly chipping away at in their spare time.  Whether it
's code or chips\, hacking of all sorts is encouraged. But we also like
to hear your crazy ideas\, so please come join us and bring your willing
ness to share your brilliance.  We'll be the kids with all the coolest s
 tuff on the table. Hope to see you there. &#13\;\n&#13\;\n&#13\;\n&#13\;

DESCRIPTION:Join us for this public event where Luka Mustafa\, founder of
open hardware Institute IRNAS will present open source open hardware ne
tworking and manufacturing solutions he has been developing together wit
h his team for the past few years.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nKORUZA:&#13\;\nKoruza
is first open source wireless optical communication system for urban env
ironments\, connecting locations at up to 150 m distance\, which empower
s networks with 1 Gbps and 10 Gbps throughputs unaffected by radio spect
rum saturation to provide last-mile networking without the need for fibe
r installation. Now\, the version for professional use\, which is bringi
ng fibre-like speeds to ISP subscribers ten times cheaper\, is available
for preorder.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nA kit version of the system - Koruza 1.0 i
s also available. This version of the system is modular and 3D printed\,
with assembly instructions and technical documentation published online
so that researchers and everyone else interested can replicate it witho
ut a problem\, understand its operation and be able to modify it for the
ir own purpose.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nGoodEnoughCNC:&#13\;\nIn the process of t
he development of Koruza we realized we need an open source baseline ma
nufacturing solution for prototyping and small series production. That's
how we created affordable and versatile CNC solutions to enable simple
production anywhere around the globe and to change how we manufacture th
ings. GoodEnoughCNC philosophy is to offer effective digital manufacturi
ng tools that are good enough for most of the applications an average ma
ker needs. We’ll give you an insight into how GoodEnoughCNC machines wer
e designed and developed\, explaining the benefits of being effectively
open source\, using standard components and publishing documentation wit
h instructions online as well as walk you&#13\;\nthrough some of the use
cases to show how these machines can be used advantageously to improve
lives of individuals and communities around the world\, from Nepal to Pr
 incipe island.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nBIO Luka:&#13\;\nLuka Mustafa is a Shuttle
worth Foundation Fellow\, working full-time on wireless optical system K
ORUZA development at Institute IRNAS Rače in Slovenia that he founded in
2014\, as well as being a PhD student at University College London. He
leads a multidisciplinary team developing open systems ranging from CNC
machines to electronics and fibre optic systems\, promotes and deploys o
pen wireless networks in wlan slovenia project and manages national and
 international wireless backbones.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nAbout IRNAS:&#13\;\nAt
Institute IRNAS Rače we strive to apply the vast scientific knowledge to
everyday reality by creating effective and affordable systems. We belie
ve in an open-source world and sharing and we aim to empower the world w
ith technologies that improve lives\, let that be an advanced communicat
ion system or a simple everyday utensil. We are non-profit\, rewarding t
he ones that create\, always exploring new projects and ideas. All our w
 ork is published under open-source open-hardware licenses.\n\nImported f

DESCRIPTION:Show &amp\; Tell with Geoff Rhoads (Transformative Optics Cor
 poration)&#13\;\n&#13\;\nJoin us for an interactive\, behind-the-scenes
look at cutting-edge optical technology with Geoff Rhoads\, founder of T
ransformative Optics Corporation.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nRather than a tradition
al slide deck\, Geoff will lead a show-and-tell style presentation featu
ring images of array cameras\, sample outputs\, and the company’s unique
lens designs. The format is intentionally informal and conversational\,
with plenty of opportunities to ask questions as the visuals unfold. We
’ll wrap up with an open Q&amp\;A session (about 5–15 minutes) for deepe
 r discussion.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nIf you’re interested in robotics\, computer
  vision\, imaging systems\, or novel optical hardware\, this will be a g
reat chance to see real technology in action and engage directly with so
me of the inventors behind it.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nAs always\, all experience
levels are welcome—come curious and ready to ask questions!\n\nImported
