No need to worry if you missed last month's event because our next meet-up is on Thursday, October 29th.

This month Kyle Duford, will be sharing a bit about his experiences creating and optimizing award winning e-commerce experiences. Kyle has successfully built and led e-commerce teams for notable consumer brands including Dr. Martens, Speck Products, Nau, and Chrome Industries - doubing or tripling their online revenue within 18 months - as well has helped other outdoor brands such as KEEN, Blue Seventy, Nuun, Rudy Project, Retul, and Carmichael Training Systems. Come learn what it takes from a man who has done it.

We will be meeting at Migration Brewing for some beer and casual networking. You can find us in the Annex where the first round of beer is on us.

Panelists: Stephen Green, John Laine - Angel Investor and Entrepreneur

Stephen Green is part entrepreneur, economist & numbers guy with a penchant for always seeing the glass half full and is a firm believer that done beats perfect. With 20 years in entrepreneurship (starting his first business while in college) and an established career in finance and lending, he hopes to continue to support entrepreneurs. By day as Vice-President & Market Manager at Albina Community Bank, Stephen helps business and property owners find access to the capital they need to get their projects off the ground. Stephen’s current entrepreneurial roles include a contractor for Nike, providing strategy assistance to small business owners & co-founder of the nation’s first nonprofit brewpub & brewery (Oregon Public House) which in its third year in operation is poised to break the $1M revenue mark and will be opening its second location in 2017. He currently sits on the board of directors for six area nonprofits that are all based in N/NE Portland that support economic development, community development & education. He is the past board-chair for the Black United Fund of Oregon is the current Treasurer at the Oregon Public House. He is a Portland area native and graduated with a BS degree in economics from Western Oregon University.

Guest speaker James Leon, Area Speech Contest winner will demonstrate the skills that earned him a spot at the International contest in Malaysia, August 2014. Guest Speaker Eric Winger, Area Evaluation Contest winner will give a workshop on feedback and evaluations.

RolodexPDX’s next event will feature speakers Shashi Jain, Jeff Martens and Special Guest Speaker Marco Salazar de Leon.

Shashi and Jeff, with their years of experience with entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial ventures, will share inside stories, advice about cautionary tales aimed at empowering, educating and inspiring attendees.

Marco, who is flying all the way up from San Diego to celebrate with us, is an expert in community management and online engagement. He will share tips, key concepts and implementable take-aways about leveraging your existing network and how to build an essential team and tribe around you and your projects.

Plus, it’s a birthday celebration… so there will be cake!

The overall formula is simple: Three short and engaging talks giving by speakers who share their wisdom with the crowd of entrepreneurs, makers, techies, business folks, investors, coaches, and go-getters.
