Remote Tech Talk at the Guild: Unix Philosophy & Tools
PDX Code Guild

Many Unix hackers avoid using an IDE when they do their work. “Unix is the IDE” they claim. In this talk, I will explain the oft-cited “unix philosophy” which permeates hacker culture and illuminates the dark path of the command line. I will then give an overview and demonstration of some of the most common and important Unix tools, such as grep, find, awk, and sed.

Presented by PDX Code Guild Instructor Evan Hackett
