ter&#13\;\n&#13\;\nIP Beyond ID&#13\;\nLeveraging Trade Dress to Enhance
  and Develop Brand&#13\;\n&#13\;\nTOPIC OVERVIEW&#13\;\nTrade dress of a
product or a service is often overlooked in a company’s overall brandin
g and trademark strategies. Sophisticated companies are using trade dres
s in ever expanding ways to establish brand recognition. Trade dress has
been traditionally limited to product packaging such as the unique shap
e of the Coke bottle\, but it has now become much broader and pervasive.
Companies are developing unique building designs and restaurant layouts
\, integrating logos into product and store designs\, establishing exclu
sive use of color in signage\, ads and displays. Through examples and ca
se studies\, the presenters from Ziba Design and Stoel Rives LLP will de
scribe what is happening in the marketplace and provide predictions of w
hat may be in store for the future.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nSPEAKER&#13\;\nJeremy
Kaye&#13\;\nJeremy Kaye is a Creative Director at Ziba Design with exte

major global corporations Jeremy has worked with some of the world’s fo

and Patagonia\, IBM\, P&amp\;G). At Ziba\, Jeremy leads teams to create
solutions for global clients by crafting compelling branded experiences
that support key business strategies.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nSPEAKER &amp\; DIS

ent patent portfolios\, preparing opinion letters and negotiating licens
es. He has also represented clients in enforcing or defending intellectu
al property rights via patent\, trademark\, and trade dress litigation i
n several districts of the federal courts\, patent interference proceedi

DESCRIPTION:3BY10 is a monthly presentation and networking event\, in whi
ch three creative professionals or students from the Portland area get t
en minutes each to present a recent project\, discuss a trend\, or just
talk about the local design scene. Talks include time for questions and
discussion and socializing afterwards. Admission is always free.&#13\;\n
 &#13\;\nThis month’s 3BY10 will be held on Wendesday\, June 24\, featuri
ng a somewhat altered (and improved\, we hope) format from past months.
We're moving the entire event to the Someday Lounge - 125 NW 5th Ave\, a
llowing us access to their beautiful space\, stage\, and projection faci
lities\, as well as their generous happy hour\, which runs until 8pm. Ou
 r hope is that this will attract a few more folks who don't like &quot\;
talks&quot\; as much as more casual events\, while still offering a fant
astic speaking venue. The schedule will also include a short intermissio
n\, and Q&amp\;A after each speaker\, rather than clustered at the end.
Come join us and see how it works out!&#13\;\n&#13\;\n6:00p - First two
 presenters + Q&amp\;A&#13\;\n6:30p - Intermission&#13\;\n6:40p - Third p
 resenter + Q&amp\;A&#13\;\n7:00p - Social hour&#13\;\n&#13\;\nThis month

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special evening with Daniel Wilson\, author of
the New York Times bestselling Robopocalypse and its sequel Robogenesis\
, as well as seven other books. &#13\;\n&#13\;\nDaniel\, who earned a Ph
D in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University\, as well as Masters degre
es in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics will be reading from his most
recent novel\, The Clockwork Dynasty. &#13\;\n&#13\;\nAfter the reading
\, Daniel will be joined by Todd Greco\, Ziba’s Director of Interactive
Design\, in a conversation exploring where science\, technology and desi
gn overlap\, and the future of machines. We look forward to audience eng
agement in this conversation. Daniel will be available for a book signin
g following the speaking program.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nThe Clockwork Dynasty i
