DESCRIPTION:The Applied Research &amp\; Technology Series (ARTS) is pleas
 ed to announce the second of three presentations on MIDI. In December 20
 12 ARTS explored MIDI-based applications and concepts such as controlled
  drum synthesis\, sequencing\, and sampling. &#13\;\n&#13\;\nTom Moxon\,
  an experienced MIDI instrument design engineer\, will explore MIDI prot
 ocol design and development history\, technical operation\, and MIDI mas
 ter/slave relationships. Tom Moxon will share his personal design and de
 velopment experience creating commercial MIDI instrument products. &#13\
 ;\n&#13\;\nParticipation: Attendees are encouraged to bring their favori
 te electronic music tracks and discuss what makes them great. Questions 
 and ideas should be directed to the meeting organizer. &#13\;\n&#13\;\nL
 ight refreshments will be served. &#13\;\nFree parking at OHSU on Saturd
