In addition\, she’ll highlight the thought leade rship behind a few of the Inclusive Solutions that deliver on Cisco’s pr omise to drive inclusion at scale. \;\n \;\nSpeaker: Trey Boynton has spent her professional career working to create inclusive environmen ts. For nearly 20 years\, she worked in university settings driving equi ty and inclusion for students\, faculty\, and staff at the University of Michigan. \;\n \;\nShe shifted to the tech industry in 2017 when she joined Duo Security as their first head of diversity and inclusion. As the lead for overall diversity strategy\, Trey envisioned a bold road ahead for Duo and implemented company-wide programs and initiatives tha t positively grew Duo’s magical culture and team. Duo achieved a milesto ne in August 2018 when it was acquired by Cisco as a cornerstone of thei r software-as-a-service (SAAS) cloud security business. In her new Cisco role as the Global Lead for Inclusion Strategy &\; Alignment\, she m anages a team dedicated to building and delivering on inclusion promises and aspirations at scale. \;\n \;\nFor Trey\, inclusion work is d eeply personal. She describes it as head and heart work centered on crea ting space so that employees and teams are valued\, celebrated\, and abl e to define their own success. In short\, her ultimate goal is to reduce barriers to brilliance. \;\n \;\nOriginally from her beloved nort hern California\, she studied at Spelman College\, Georgetown University \, and the University of Michigan. Her most important job is helping her two teen feminist daughters continue to be awesome and giving attention to their needy dog\, Toby.
