DESCRIPTION:TestML - Data Driven Testing for All Modern Programming Langu
 ages&#13\;\n&#13\;\nby Ingy dot Net&#13\;\n&#13\;\nIn 2004 I created the
Test::Base data driven testing module for CPAN. It&#13\;\nbecame popula
r with several prolific CPAN authors like MIYAGAWA and became&#13\;\nthe
main testing framework for companies like Socialtext and OpenResty\, In
&#13\;\n2010 I decided to &quot\;Acmeize&quot\; it and I made TestML wit
h the intent of making&#13\;\nit work in all programming languages. I go
t it going in Perl5/CPAN and a&#13\;\ncouple other languages. In 2017 Op
enResty paid me to write a new version of&#13\;\nthe language in their p
roprietary ecosystem\, and the resulting idea was&#13\;\nreally much bet
ter. They allowed me to take the new ideas to Open Source&#13\;\nand in
 2018 I have the new great TestML language. It is currently working&#13\;
 \nin 8 languages (Bash\, CoffeeScript\, Go\, JavaScript\, Perl 5\, Perl
6\, Python&#13\;\n2 and Python 3) and easy to port. Other ports are unde
r way including C++.&#13\;\nThe official YAML test suite is written in T
 estML!&#13\;\n&#13\;\nIn this talk I will:&#13\;\n&#13\;\n - Introduce
you to the TestML language&#13\;\n (it's so simple\, most programs a
re a single line!)&#13\;\n - Show how TestML works well with any langu
age's existing test frameworks&#13\;\n - Show how to use in Perl 5 and
6 and others&#13\;\n - Show how the language is compiled to Lingy (a
JSON based Lisp)&#13\;\n - Show how to port TestML to a new programmin
 g language or test framework&#13\;\n - and much more!\n\nTags: pdxpm\,
