 ial edition happy hour on #givingtuesday November 27th! The theme of the
  evening is Supporting our Community. Let’s connect to talk about how we
  can really show up and support one another.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nWhile the ev
 ent is primarily intended for networking\, we will have a short segment 
 at 5:30 to share important announcements and showcase some individuals i
 n our community.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nAn employee of Free Geek will provide an
  introduction to the company and share open job opportunities.&#13\;\n&#
 13\;\nA guest speaker will share their story of the impact Free Geek and
  PDXWIT has had on their professional and personal life.&#13\;\n&#13\;\n
 Elizabeth Stock and Hilary Shohoney will talk about how critical it is f
 or community members to do what they can to support organizations that m
 atter to them.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nDuring the event\, we’ll have more to do t
 han free-form networking:&#13\;\n&#13\;\nAn activity table where you can
  get creative. This is a fantastic way to meet others if large groups ar
 e not your thing. If you have trouble finding it\, look for Meg Aul\, ou
 r Event Activities Director.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nTable topics to help break t
 he ice.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nA section for job seekers and our sponsors who ar
 e hiring\, to ensure people get connected.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nA #givingtuesd
 ay table with raffle prizes and other goodies for folks who decide to su
 pport BOTH FreeGeek and PDXWIT at the event.&#13\;\n&#13\;\n&#13\;\n&#13

 \;\n5:30 p.m. - Introductions\, announcements + lightning speakers&#13\;

 &#13\;\nPDXWIT is a community-based non-profit organization. Our purpose
  is to strengthen the Portland women in tech community by offering educa
 tional programs\, partnerships\, mentorships\, resources and opportuniti
 es. We are unifying a supportive environment for current and potential w
 omen in tech\, all of whom are committed to helping each other. Our goal
  is to bring together and empower women in tech and to encourage others 
 to pursue tech careers. This is our step towards reducing the gender imb
 alance in the industry and addressing the current negative effects of th
 at imbalance on women.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nOur events are inclusive. ALL peop
