DESCRIPTION:I know\, I know. Accessibility seems like a thing that we sho
uld do... but it's sometimes uncomfortable to talk about and it feels li
ke there aren't that many people who need it anyway... right?&#13\;\n&#1
3\;\nWrong. About 1 in 5 Americans reports that they have some kind of d
isability - from hearing impairment\, vision impairment\, mobility issue
s to mental disabilities and more. What does this mean for you and your
company? It means that if you're not creating sites\, services\, and pro
ducts with this group of people in mind\, you're letting go of a multi-b
illion dollar market share. It also means that you're missing opportunit
ies to be innovative leaders in your space. It also - finally - means th
at you're about to be breaking the law. Did you know that companies like
Target and Netflix have been successfully (and expensively) sued for fa
ilure to create and maintain accessible sites? Well\, they have. And we
don't want that for you.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nWe're putting on a seriously han
ds-on workshop to help people from all ends of all companies think about
this topic. Building the Accessibility Roadmap is a hands-on workshop.
It is not a panel\, or a lecture\, or a networking schmooze event. You w
ill leave with a real plan that you can implement. If you\, your departm
ent\, or company is ready to start thinking about the &quot\;accessibili
ty question&quot\; - whether because it's the right thing to do or becau
se it's the law - this workshop is designed to take you through our prop
rietary tool and roadmap system that points the way forward. You'll leav
e with actionable tasks\, not just ideas or theory. &#13\;\n&#13\;\nWhen
 : Tues. Aug 4th at 6-8:30pm&#13\;\nWhere: 52 LTD&#13\;\nWho: Anyone inte
rested in learning more about actionable accessibility&#13\;\n &#13\;\nI
f you're ready to start planning AND doing\, this workshop is for you. W
e'll cover a bit about the law\, but the workshop is really geared towar
d helping you develop a real plan and approach for creating your company
 's accessibility roadmap.&#13\;\n\n\nTags: accessibility\, design\, deve
