 .” IACET CEU Provider #1255 &#13\;\n&#13\;\nThis is a half-day tech
nical seminar sponsored by the IEEE Oregon Section Robotics and Automati
 on Chapter.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nRegistration/check-in starts at 8:30 am\, wit
h the seminar starting promptly at 9:00.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nIn this workshop
you will learn about the engineering considerations that go into design
ing and implementing a successful machine vision application. &#13\;\n&#

s for analysis.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nDescription:&#13\;\nIn this seminar we wi
ll learn about the engineering considerations that go into designing and
implementing a successful machine vision application.  We will explore
the vital importance of the color and the geometry of the illumination\,
review the important characteristics of optics\, and cover the full ran
ge of current industry standards for cameras. &#13\;\n&#13\;\nNext\, we
will survey available image analysis tools that can be used to accomplis
 h inspection\, measurement\, identification\, and verification.  Finally
\, we will discuss how machine vision is interfaced and integrated into
manufacturing systems.  &#13\;\n&#13\;\nAttendees are invited to bring i
n actual or hypothetical components for analysis. &#13\;\n&#13\;\nWho sh
ould attend the seminar:&#13\;\nThis course is intended for engineering
professionals – design and manufacturing engineers\, engineering manager
s\, product engineers/managers\, manufacturing and product development m
 anagers.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nPrerequisites:&#13\;\nExperience or education (A
S or BS level) in electronic (or electrical) engineering\, physics\, com
 puter engineering\, related scientific fields.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nWhat you w
ill learn:&#13\;\nIn this workshop you will learn about the engineering
considerations that go into designing and implementing a successful mach
