DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to sponsor a workshop on Reliability software
and tools intended to assist engineers and others to improve the product
in the development process. This event is in the form of a workshop wit
h two sessions. The schedule is a session held both before and after a h
 alf-hour break.&#13\;\n&#13\;\n5:00 – 6:30 PM – Session #1 – The focus i
s on describing ReliaSoft software and how each module of their software
fits into a project of bringing a proposed product design to market. Ex
amples of use of the various modules. The instructor for both sessions i
s Dr. Umur Yenal representing HBM Prenscia | www.hbmprenscia.com | Tucso
n\, AZ.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nDr. Umur Yenal is a Technologist with HBM Prensci
 a. He is involved in the delivery of training seminars and consulting pr
ojects in the field of Reliability and Quality Engineering\, as well the
development of ReliaSoft software products. He holds a MSc degree from
the Technical University of Denmark and a Ph.D. in Environmental Enginee
ring from the University of Arizona. Previously\, he worked as a post-do
ctorate research associate and as a test manager at the University of Ar
izona. His areas of interest include system reliability\, life data anal
ysis\, accelerated life testing and reliability block diagrams. &#13\;\n
 &#13\;\n6:30 – 7:00 PM – Break for Meal &amp\; Section News | Pizza and
 soft drinks.&#13\;\n&#13\;\n7:00 – 8:30 PM – Session #2 - The focus is o
n one or more case studies including a printed circuit board product as
an example product. Reliability of a proposed design of a printed circui
t board is calculated from components\, materials and overall design\; t
hen the design is improved with substitution of more reliable components
until the design goal is met using the software.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nRegistr
ation is via Eventbrite.com and the fee is $25.00 per person. See websit
e link.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nSponsored by the American Society for Quality (AS
