  floor of 700 NE Multnomah Blvd - Portland\, Oregon&#13\;\n&#13\;\nSumma
ry:&#13\;\nBPA has experienced a large amount of wind integration over t
he past three years\, growing from 1\,000 MW in late 2007 to over 3\,000
MW current installed wind capacity. In order to effectively manage this
amount of wind in the BPA Balancing Authority Area\, methods had to be
created to calculate the total reserve needed for current and future win
d penetration levels\, including trying to accurately forecast the estim
ated output of future wind projects. Once the needed reserve was calcula
ted\, it was found that it would be difficult for BPA to manage this lev
el of wind so multiple initiatives were created to mitigate the issues b
rought by large scale wind in the BPA Balancing Authority Area.&#13\;\n&
#13\;\nSpeakers:&#13\;\nBart McManus has been at BPA for 16 years. He i
s the wind integration lead for BPA Transmission Operations.&#13\;\n&#13
\;\nScott Simons has been at BPA for 28 years. He has served as an appl
ications developer\, project manager\, and has led the transmission sche
 duling organization. &#13\;\n&#13\;\nLocation:&#13\;\nThe Portland chap

Meetings will be held at the Lloyd 700 Building\, 700 NE Multnomah Boul
