Multnomah County Municipal Broadband Town Hall
Louiza Event Space

Multnomah County and a collection of constituent municipalities have launched a feasibility study to investigate the challenges and opportunities of building a publicly owned telecommunications utility here, largely at the behest of a campaign called Municipal Broadband PDX.

Next week we are going to hold the first of two public outreach events, in conjunction with Multnomah County. The idea is to report on where we are, and gather feedback on what people want when it comes to the future of telecommunications in Multnomah County, and how we can get there.

On December 4 (doors open at 5:30pm, program gets underway a little after 6pm), we're holding the first event at the Louiza Event Space, 2808 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Suite B. It's free. There will be some food and drink. Multnomah County commissioners Sharon Meieran and Susheela Jayapal will be there and speak briefly. There will be break out sessions at tables to answer questions and collect feedback.

The second event will take place on December 17 in Gresham.

The details and registration links can be found on our EventBrite page. Municipal Broadband PDX welcomes your participation!
