&#13\;\nRegistration for this event includes all three workshop sessions
. You can register for the event via Eventbrite.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nCome to
ChickTech’s 3D Printing workshop to get the skills you need to start mak
ing 3D models on your own! For three Tuesday evenings in a row\, you wil
l be led by an experienced design instructor and focus on building a bas
ic skill set for 3D printing design. Best of all\, you'll get to print e
ach session’s project in one of five plastic colors to keep!&#13\;\n&#13
\;\nTechnology that will be used: Autodesk Fusion360 and 3D Printers&#13
 \;\n &#13\;\nThe Instructor: 3D printing designer Mazuir Ross (Maz)&#13\
;\nMaz sculpted the 3D printed cow Veronin for Urban Farmer PDX! To lear
n more about the designer check out her website at mazuirross.com. She i
s also in partnership with Attero\, who focuses on the hardware side of
3D printing. You can find information about Maz and Attero’s operation a
 t mazandattero.xyz.&#13\;\n &#13\;\nSession 1\, August 25th: Make a Cust
om Charm&#13\;\nThe first session will overview the basics needed for su
ccessfully designing 3D printing output\, particularly FFF/FDM printing.
In the lesson we will create a snap-on custom charm for beer bottles/wi
ne glasses. The creation of the snap-on charm will focus on basics of sk
etching and creating geometry from sketches. You'll be able to put a wor
d or name on the charm\, or even make flowers and/or geometric shapes!&#
 13\;\n &#13\;\nSession 2\, September 1st: Make a Trinket Box&#13\;\nTh
e second session is about modeling a trinket box with a lid. The session
will focus on the combining/subtracting and/or intersecting of geometry
for modeling. We'll also focus on the concept of fitting tolerances nee
 ded for CAM/CNC fabrication\, particularly 3D printing.&#13\;\n &#13\;\n
Session 3 September 8th: Make a Six-Panel Hinged Cube with Custom Panel
 Design&#13\;\nIn the third session\, you'll model a 6-panel hinged cube\
, including learning how to create fitted hinges. You'll also get creati
ve with the custom designs on each panel. This folding cube can be desig
ned with a sports team logo\, a company name\, anything you want. It can
also be made into a desk trinket to hold pencils/pens/stylus just by cu
tting out a hole on the top panel. &#13\;\n&#13\;\n---------------------
---------------&#13\;\n&#13\;\n&#13\;\nBy the end of this workshop serie
 s you'll have a comprehensive understanding of 3D printing\, 3D modeling
  software\, and 3D design.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nPart of ChickTech’s mission is
to retain women in technology. We intend for this event to build commun
ity and add skills to resumes. We encourage anyone who has always wanted
to get started with 3D Printing to register for this event! &#13\;\n&#1

DESCRIPTION:Join us at Vevo for our first Networking Night of 2020 to cel
ebrate 100 years of the 19th Amendment in Oregon! The U.S. Congress pass
ed the 19th Amendment on June 4\, 1919\, granting women the right to vot
 e. On January 14\, 1920\, Oregon became the 25th state to ratify the 19t
h Amendment. The 19th Amendment reads: &quot\;The right of citizens of t
he United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United S
tates or by any state on account of sex.&quot\; &#13\;\n&#13\;\nWhile 19
20 was a pivotal moment in the long fight for women's rights\, the 19th
Amendment did not grant all women the right to vote. Native American wom
en had to wait until 1924\, when the Indian Citizenship Act granted them
citizenship and the right to vote\, and it wouldn't be until 1965 that
the Voting Rights Act addressed discriminatory practices that previously
prevented many people of color from voting. The fight for equal rights
continues today and will continue in future elections. &#13\;\n&#13\;\nA
t the Golden Globes\, Michelle Williams spoke about women voting in thei
r self-interest. She said: &quot\;Women\, 18 to 118\, when it is time to
vote\, please do so in your own self-interest. It’s what men have been
doing for years\, which is why the world looks so much like them. Don’t
forget: We are the largest voting body in this country. Let’s make it lo
ok more like us.&quot\; &#13\;\n&#13\;\nFor this event\, we will host a
presentation on the history of women's voting rights\, followed by break
out sessions with group activities and discussion topics focused around
the topics of women's voting rights and equal\, accessible\, and interse
 ctional activism.&#13\;\n&#13\;\n⏰ Agenda&#13\;\n&#13\;\n5:30 - 6:00: Do
