DESCRIPTION:CHIFOO presents &quot\;Presumptive Design Workshop: Bounded I

#13\;\n&#13\;\nBased on his (and Charles Lambdin's) recently published b
ook\, Presumptive Design: Design Provocations for Innovation\, Frishberg
leads a half day workshop that turns the usual Discover | Define | Desi

of an artifact to provoke meaningful interactions and conversations with
end-users. PrD is a low-cost method for reducing the risk of inventing
the future.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nAttendees will learn the theoretical framewor
ks on which it is based as well as have ample opportunity to practice th
e method. Topics include: the Owen/Kumar/Sato Design Thinking framework\
, the five principles of PrD\, when it works and when it doesn't and muc
h much more. As an added bonus\, all workshop attendees will receive a s
 igned copy of the book.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nREGISTRATION&#13\;\n&#13\;\nEarly

 Contemplate Technologies for Themselves&quot\; with John D. Smith\, Co-A
uthor of Digital Habitats!&#13\;\n&#13\;\nChurches and faith-based commu

enges our normal thinking about design\, technology\, and human interact
ion. To understand what’s going on as a community’s technology steward y
ou need to stand inside and outside\, be local and nonlocal\, be in the
 organization and outside\, be a newbie and an old-timer\, have a short-t
imer’s view and play the long game\, be both geek and technophobe\, and
observe it all as an actor and as a barefoot ethnographer. Every day.&#1
