 cameras\, and hot drinks.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nFrom NASA:&#13\;\n&#13\;\n&quot
\;Early in the morning on December 21 a total lunar eclipse will be visi
ble to sky watchers across North America (for observers in western state
s the eclipse actually begins late in the evening of December 20)\, Gree

ter stages of the eclipse will be visible after moonrise.&#13\;\n&#13\;\
nFrom beginning to end\, the eclipse will last about three hours and twe

DESCRIPTION:Title: Test-Driven Development and Mock Objects for C++ in E
clipse&#13\;\n&#13\;\nSpeaker: Prof Peter Sommerlad\, Institute for Sof
 tware at FHO/HSR Rapperswil\, Switzerland&#13\;\n&#13\;\n&#13\;\nAbstrac
 t&#13\;\n&#13\;\nAt IFS Institute for Software\, several plug-ins have b
een developed for the Eclipse C/C++ Development Tools (CDT)\, to assist
Agile C++ developers. Some of the features have already been integrated
into CDT\, such as the refactoring infrastructure and some refactorings
\, such as toggling function definition and declaration. In this talk P
rof. Sommerlad will explain how IFS's plug-ins make it easier to adopt a
 n agile style of development\, through code-generation for Test-driven D
evelopment (TDD)\, unit testing\, test doubles and mock objects\, quick
feedback from static analysis tools\, and quick-fixes for problems. &#13
\;\n&#13\;\nSpeaker Bio:&#13\;\n&#13\;\nProf. Peter Sommerlad is head of
IFS Institute for Software at FHO/HSR Rapperswil. Peter is co-author of
the books POSA Vol.1 and Security Patterns. His goal is to make softwar
e simpler by Decremental Development: refactoring software down to 10% o
f its size with better architecture\, testability and quality and functi
onality. Peter is the also the author of the CUTE unit testing framework
. He inspired and leads several Eclipse CDT plug-in projects\, such as t
 he CUTE unit testing\, Sconsolidator\, Mockator\, Linticator\, and Inclu
dator. IFS contributed most of the CDT refactoring infrastructure and is
employing it to develop further TDD and Refactoring support for Eclipse
  CDT.\n\nTags: agile\, psu\, computer science\, refactoring\, colloquium
