 s\, emotional labor is all-inclusive. Being expected to do things for fr
 ee in order to get the job done while keeping your emotions in check all
  fall under emotional labor. Join us at the Port of Portland while we ex
 plore and discuss ways of lifting women up and creating a support group 
 at work.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nModerated by Priscilla Lim from Port of Portland
  and speakers Tanya Webb\, from Puppet\, and Tara Zaremba from the city 
 of Seattle\, this panel will discuss different types of emotional labor 
 in the workplace\, race and how it affects people of color\, and cultura
 l norms and stereotypes that are happening in the workplace.&#13\;\n&#13
 \;\n&#13\;\nWho should attend?&#13\;\nThe PDXWIT Women of Color in Tech 
 group is a space dedicated to women and non-binary community who identif
 y as Black\, Indigenous\, or a Person of Color (BIPOC). Although this ev

 ce?&#13\;\nA: Attendees will need to access the elevator to the Port’s H
 Q office either via the parking garage north tunnel (either garage—the e
 levator is at the far east end). There is a south tunnel\, but it does n
 ot provide access the event. The the 1st floor main entrance is another 
 option and is reachable either via taking the long term parking garage e
 levators down to it or from a front door entrance.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nQ: Is

 d non-profit organization. Our purpose is to strengthen the Portland wom
 en in tech community by offering educational programs\, partnerships\, m
 entorships\, resources and opportunities. We are unifying a supportive e
 nvironment for current and potential women in tech\, all of whom are com
 mitted to helping each other. Our goal is to bring together and empower 
 women in tech and to encourage others to pursue tech careers. This is ou
 r step towards reducing the gender imbalance in the industry and address
 ing the current negative effects of that imbalance on women.&#13\;\n&#13
