In alignment with our recent PDXWIT #Action survey \, women’s health is a top issue for our members. PDXWIT knows that affo rdable family planning is critical for women\, especially those that cho ose to pursue tech careers. \;\n \;\nWe will be organizing a carpo ol down to Salem. If you can drive or need a ride please fill in this Go ogle doc and self-organize with your driver to schedule rides. We will b e departing Portland at 10:30 a.m. \;\n \;\nWe will meet on the co rner of NE Court St and E Summer Street NE at 11:30\, look for the brigh t green PDXWIT T-shirts. The rally is from 12 PM - 1 PM on the steps of the capitol in Salem. After the rally we will get an informal lunch in t he area. Please fill in the Google doc if you would like to join so that we can find a restaurant that accommodates all of us. The Re productive Health Equity Act (HB 2232) is an important leap toward ensur ing that all Oregonians have meaningful access to the care they need. Th ousands of Oregonians still lack coverage for the full range of reproduc tive health services. You can learn more about the bill here. \;\n 3\;\nThe rally is produced by Pro-Choice Coalition of Oregon\,a diverse\ , statewide coalition.They are working to create a world where access to reproductive health care doesn’t depend on who you are\, where you live or how much you earn\; where every Oregonian who can become pregnant ha s the opportunity to choose their own path to a healthy and meaningful l ife. \;\n \;\nPurpose: \;\n \;\nPDXWIT is a community-based non-profit organization.
