DESCRIPTION:Demonstrating the value of design in business is key to posit
ioning design\, UX and HCI more strategically in an organization. Yet de
monstrating this has been a vexing challenge for designers. Using metric
s that matter to leaders as the kernel in a story is key to meeting busi
ness leaders halfway in their quest to understand what design\, UX and H
CI can do for them. Furthermore\, contrary to popular belief\, there is
not a clear-cut set of metrics\, a “clip of silver bullets”\, that works
for all situations. What to measure then\, is highly situational. Desig
n Thinking is perfect for developing solutions to highly situational cha
llenges. &#13\;\n&#13\;\nThis presentation will cover the presenter’s ex
amples and experiences in successfully applying Design Thinking to demon
strate the value of design\, UX and HCI to business in: &#13\;\n•Determi
ning what to measure for a situation &#13\;\n•Measuring what matters to
 key stakeholders&#13\;\n•Designing a viable\, sustained measurement syst
em&#13\;\n•Communicating the results with impact to key stakeholders&#13
