DESCRIPTION:Rose City Software Process Improvement (SPIN) Seminar [free e
vent\, open to public]\n\nTitle: Moving to Agile Development: What Went
 Right\, What Went Wrong\n\nPresenter: Ray Arell\n\nDates/Times: Thursday
 \, February 11th\, 2010\; Networking @ 6:00 PM\; Seminar 7:00-8:00 PM \n
\nLocation: Hillsboro Main Library\, Main Library Meeting Room\, 2850 NE
  Brookwood Parkway\, Hillsboro\, OR 97124 \n\nAbstract:\nA while ago I w
ent into my software staff and declared “Hey! We are going Agile!” Y
ep\, I read an Agile project management book on a long flight to India\,
and like all good reactionary development managers I was sold! A few
years later our adaptation of the Scrum framework has taken shape\, but
it was not without strain on our development\, test\, and other Q/A proc
esses. This session focuses on a retrospective of what went right and mo
re importantly what went wrong as we evolved to our new development proc
ess and the effect it had on our team. Perhaps it will convince you that
the shift to Agile is the way to go\, and hopefully give you just a lit
tle more info on what you may be in for.\n\nSpeaker Bio:\nRay Arell is a
Senior Engineering Manager and Agilist at Intel. He has over 21 years
of hardware and software development\, validation\, and management exper
ience. During his tenure\, he has worked on a variety of teams focused o
n CPU\, chipsets\, and graphics system-level testing. Today he manages
an Agile software engineering team in Intel's Business Client Platform D
ivision and he is a leading force in the Agilization of Intel. Ray is al
so co-author of Change-Based Test Management: Improving the Software Val
idation Process (ISBN: 0971786127)\, and has delivered keynotes at StarW
 est/EuroStar\, STANZ 2008 Wellington/Sydney\, QA&Test 2005/6 Bilbao\, an
d speaker at many other events worldwide.\n\nA Special Treat from PNSQC:
